THE MUSEUM'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE ENRICH THEIR LIVES THROUGH INTERACTION WITH THE VISUAL ARTS IN THOUGHT-PROVOKING AND CREATIVE WAYS THAT NOURISH AND DELIGHT THE MIND AND SPIRIT. FOR THE FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE OF EDUCATION, THE MUSEUM COLLECTS, CONSERVES, EXHIBITS, INTERPRETS AND RESEARCHES ART.

EXHIBITIONS OF VARIOUS ARTWORK OF LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTISTS ARE DISPLAYED FOR THE PUBLIC FOR A TEMPORARY TIME TO SUPPLEMENT THE PERMANENT COLLECTIONS AND COMPLEMENT CURRENT EVENTS.
PERMANENT COLLECTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN PURCHASED AND DONATED ARE PRESERVED AND CONSERVED TO PROVIDE LASTING ARTWORK FOR THE MUSEUM TO DISPLAY TO THE PUBLIC.
SCHOOLS, INDIVIDUALS, AND OTHER SIMILAR GROUPS ARE GIVEN OPPORTUNITIES TO FURTHER LEARN ABOUT ART AND THE ARTWORK OF THE MUSEUM THROUGH FORMAL EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS IN ADDITION TO VIEWING THE PERMANENT COLLECTION AND TRAVELING EXHIBITIONS.
