THE SHARED SPACE PROGRAM PROVIDES CONGREGATIONS, NON-PROFITS, AND SUPPORT GROUPS WITH AFFORDABLE OFFICE AND MEETING SPACE TO ENCOURAGE THEIR PRESENCE IN LOW-INCOME URBAN AREAS AND ENABLE THEM TO SERVE THEIR LOCAL NEIGHBOR MORE AFFORDABLY.
THE ORGANIZATION WORKS DIRECTLY WITH SEMINARIES TO PROVIDE A COMPLEMENT TO A THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION THAT IS ROOTED IN NEIGHBORHOODS, AND TO MOBILIZE PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TO CARRY OUT STRATEGIES THAT BRING POSITIVE CHANGE IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS. STAFF CALLED "NEIGHBORHOOD CONNECTORS" SUPPORT THE GRASS-ROOTS NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS CALLED "SHALOM ZONES" AS WELL AS SERVE AS COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS.
