TAICS IS A NON PROFIT TRADE ASSOCIATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF CAREER EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL TRAINING IN TENNESSEE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDE FUNDING SUPPORT FOR THE TENNESSEE PROPRIETARY BUSINESS SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. THE GROUP ADVOCATES ON BEHALF OF CAREER COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS AND THEIR STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF.


THE TAICS ANNUAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD ON APRIL 28-29 2016. THE TWO DAY EVENT INCLUDED A GENERAL MEMBERSHIP, PRESIDENTS AND DIRECTORS MEETING ALONG WITH AN OPENING RECEPTION. THE MEETING ALSO INCLUDED FACULTY AND LEADERSHIP AWARDS, SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION, EXHIBITOR TRADE SHOW SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS AND BREAKOUT SESSIONS. THE SESSIONS INCLUDED: SERVICE LEARNING, RETENTION, STUDENT ENGAGEMENT, HIGHER EDUCATION UPDATES, STUDENT CAREER PLACEMENT AND UNDERSTANDING STATE EDUCATIONAL GOALS AND PROGRAMS. THERE WERE 120 INDIVIDUALS IN ATTENDANCE.


PROVIDE AN ANNUAL INSPIRE HOPE SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDENTS ENROLLED FULL-TIME IN AN ELIGIBLE TAICS POSTSECONDARY INSTITUTION AND MEET OTHER GUIDELINES PROVIDED BY TAICS.
