THE CLUB HAS THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF CONSERVING, RESTORING, AND MANAGING THE GAME, FISH, AND OTHER WILDLIFE AND ITS HABITAT IN KINGSPORT AND ITS ENVIRONS; SEEKING TO PROCURE BETTER FISHING AND HUNTING FOR SPORTSMEN; COOPERATING IN OBTAINING PROPER RESPECT FOR, AND OBSERVATION OF THE FISH-AND-GAME LAWS; SPREADING KNOWLEDGE OF USEFUL WILDLIFE AMONG THE RESIDENTS OF KINGSPORT; ENCOURAGING THE YOUTH OF KINGSPORT AND ITS ENVIRONS TO PARTICIPATE IN HUNTING AND FISHING; AND PROMOTING SAFETY IN OUTDOOR SPORTS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE CLUB CONDUCTED SHOOTING IN TRAP, SKEET, SILHOUETTE, BLACK POWDER SHOOTS, AND VINTAGE MILITARY RIFLE AND PISTOL. ANNUAL HUNTER SAFETY COURSES WERE TAUGHT TO AREA YOUTH, AGES 10 AND OLDER. BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP PROGRAM WERE TAUGHT HOW TO SHOOT A .22 CALIBER RIFLE. SUPPORT WAS GIVEN TO THE EAGLE INTERNATIONAL RIFLE TEAM. SUPPORT WAS GIVEN TO THE SCHOLASTIC CLAY SHOOTING TEAM. ARCHERY CLASSES WERE PROVIDED TO YOUTH AND LADIES. THE ANNUAL WOMEN ON TARGET INSTRUCTIONAL CLINIC WAS PROVIDED FOR SAFE FIREARM INSTRUCTION.
