THE PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO PROVIED EXPANDED OPPORTUNITIES TO THE YOUTH AND SENIORS OF TRIGG COUNTY, KENTUCKY. WE HOST AN ANNUAL COMMUNITY AUCTION AT WHICH WE RAISE FUNDS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL. THE FUNDS ARE DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN A SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS FUND AND A YOUTH AND SENIOR SERVICE FUND.

THE YOUTH AND SENIOR SERVICES FUND SERVES AS A DISCRETIONARY FUND WHICH ATTEMPTS TO PROVIDE AND SUPPORT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE YOUTH WITHIN OUR COUNTY. A COMMITTEE WITHIN THE CLUB OVERSEES THE REQUEST FOR SUPPORT. SOME RECIPIENT EXAMPLES OF SUPPORT ARE VARIOUS SCHOOL ATHLETIC AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES, THE TRIGG COUNTY RECREATIONAL COMPLEX, BOY AND GIRL SCOUT TROOPS, HALLOWEEN SAFE NIGHT, PROJECT GRADUATION, HELPING HANDS SCHOOL CLOTHING PROGRAM, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AWARDS PROGRAM WHICH ACKNOWLEDGES THE SUCCESS OF NEARLY 900 CHILDREN.
THE YOUTH AND SENIOR SERVICE FUND SERVES AS A DISCRETIONARY FUND WHICH ATTEMPTS TO PROVIDE AND SUPPORT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE SENIORS WITHIN OUR COUNTY. A COMMITTEE WITHIN THE CLUB OVERSEES THE REQUESTS FOR SUPPORT. SOME RECIPIENT EXAMPLES OF SUPPORT ARE SENIOR CITIZEN NUTRITION ASSISTANCE, SENIOR FIELD TRIPS, SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER, HELPING HANDS FOOD BANK, THE FARMER'S MARKET-BUCKS FOR SENIORS PROGRAM.
THE SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS FUND WILL TYPICALLY ASSIST CLOSE TO 80 STUDENTS PER YEAR. WE OFFER SUPPORT TO TRADITIONAL AND NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENTS IN BOTH THE COLLEGE AND VOCATIONAL SETTING.
