MORGANTOWN MISSION OPERATES A STORE IN MORGANTOWN KY SIMILAR TO A GOODWILL STORE. LOCAL RESIDENTS DONATE OLD CLOTHING, FURNITURE ETC. THE PROCEEDS FOR THE SALES OF THE ITEMS ARE USED TO HELP NEEDY FAMILIES AND DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO DISTRIBUTES FOOD.

MORGANTOWN MISSION SERVES THE COMMUNITY IN A VARIETY OF WAYS. THE MISSION HAS A THRIFT STORE THAT OFFERS CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD GOODS AT A BARE MINIMUM COST. IN THE EVENT THAT A FAMILY DOES NOT HAVE FUNDS TO PURCHASE ITEMS NEEDED THE MISSION DONATES THE ITEMS TO THEM. EACH YEAR COATS ARE GIVEN TO ANYONE IN NEED. A FOOD PANTRY PROVIDES FOOD TO THOSE WHO HAVE NO FOOD. A PROGRAM IS PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN ON TUESDAY EVENINGS THAT PROVIDES A MEAL (WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOCAL CHURCHES) FOR THEM AND ALSO A TIME OF INSTRUCTION. PROM DRESSES ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE FUNDS TO PURCHASE A DRESS. TEMPORARY HOUSING IS PROVIDED TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS. WE HELP TO COORDINATE A BACK PACK THAT PROVIDES FOOD FOR CHILDREN ON WEEKENDS. WE PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR A BLOOD DRIVE EVERY 2 MONTHS AND ALSO DISTRIBUTE FOOD FOR FEEDING AMERICA. FOOD KITCHEN. WE FUND A $2000 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR A LOCAL STUDENT.WE SOMETIMES HELP PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FOR TRANSIENT OR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS.
