THE ORGANIZATION IS A CHRIST-CENTERED MINISTRY THAT MEETS THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF HURTING PEOPLE IN THE GREATER LEXINGTON AREA. ITS ACTIVITIES ARE FOCUSED ON REBUILDING LIVES.

OUTREACH SERVICES - IN 2022, WE SERVED 57,889 MEALS TO HUNGRY MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN. WE HAD 1,395 PEOPLE WHO CAME TO OUR WALK-IN HOURS FOR ASSISTANCE MEETING THEIR BASIC NEEDS, INCLUDING 1,057 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED CLOTHING, 961 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED HYGIENE PRODUCTS, 696 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED EMERGENCY FOOD BAGS, 207 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED CLEANING SUPPLIES, 198 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE, AND 60 PEOPLE WHO OBTAINED BIRTH CERTIFICATES AND/OR IDS. OUR STREET OUTREACH TEAM SERVED 293 PEOPLE LIVING WITHOUT SHELTER, PROVIDING 208 PEOPLE WITH CASE MANAGEMENT AND GETTING 45 PEOPLE INTO SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT. THROUGH OUR HOMELESS INTERVENTION PROGRAM, WE MOVED 73 HOMELESS HOUSEHOLDS, INCLUDING 90 ADULTS AND 25 CHILDREN, INTO PERMANENT HOUSING AND PREVENTED EVICTIONS OR UTILITY SHUT-OFFS FOR 26 ADULTS AND 43 CHILDREN. FURTHERMORE, 136 PEOPLE ATTENDED CHAPEL SERVICES, 131 PEOPLE ATTENDED STEADY HANDS, OUR WEEKLY DISCIPLESHIP GROUP, AND 57 PEOPLE RECEIVED PASTORAL CARE.


RESTORATIVE SERVICES - MEN AND WOMEN WHO WERE TRYING TO GET BACK ON THEIR FEET AFTER HOMELESSNESS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, INCARCERATION, OR JUST FALLING ON HARD TIMES HAD WARM BEDS AND A SAFE PLACE TO CALL HOME IN OUR TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM. IN 2022, WE PROVIDED TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND DISCIPLESHIP TO 125 MEN AND 28 WOMEN.


EMPLOYMENT SERVICES - IN 2022, WE ASSISTED 420 UNEMPLOYED MEN AND WOMEN WITH OVERCOMING BARRIERS TO WORK AND PLACED 146 PEOPLE IN 176 JOBS. THE AVERAGE WAGE WAS $13, AND THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK WAS 35. THE TOP SECTORS WE PLACED PEOPLE IN WERE SKILLED TRADES, MANUFACTURING, AND HOSPITALITY. WE TAUGHT 105 PEOPLE EMPLOYMENT SKILLS THROUGH JOBS FOR LIFE. IN 2022, WE ALSO MANAGED A LAWN CARE AND LANDSCAPING BUSINESS TO EMPLOY HARD-TO-PLACE CLIENTS.
