THE CARSON CENTER IS A REGIONAL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER THAT PRESENTS PERFORMANCES AND PROGRAMS FOR AUDIENCES OF ALL AGES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. ALMOST ALL ARE PART OF NATIONAL TOURS BY PROFESSIONAL PERFORMING ARTISTS. THE CARSON CENTER ALSO WORKS WITH LOCAL ARTISTS, TEACHERS, AND LIBRARIANS TO HOST ARTS-EDUCATION AND AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT EXPERIENCES FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND ADULTS AT THE CENTER AND IN THE COMMUNITY. THE LIVE PERFORMANCES AT THE CARSON CENTER INCLUDE BROADWAY PRODUCTIONS, CONCERTS, COMEDIANS, PLAYS BY THEATRE COMPANIES, DANCE, AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. SINCE THE CARSON CENTER'S OPENING IN 2004, ALMOST 2 MILLION PEOPLE FROM THROUGHOUT THE NATION HAVE VISITED THE FACILITY FOR ITS PERFORMANCES, SPECIAL PROGRAMS, AND EVENTS.
