IN 2022 WATERSTEP (WS) IMPACTED 3.4 MILLION LIVES BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO SAFE WATER, SANITATION, AND HEALTH EDUCATION, BRINGING OUR GRAND TOTAL TO JUST OVER 8.6 MILLION LIVES SERVED. WE DID THIS WITH SUPPORT OF HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS, INCLUDING AN ALL-VOLUNTEER MANUFACTURING/ASSEMBLY TEAM. IN 2022, WS DEPLOYED 1,025 PIECES OF EQUIPMENT IN 27 COUNTRIES, UP FROM 377 IN 2021. WE HAD 43 INTERNATIONAL FIELD CONSULTANTS WORKING ON 604 (UP FROM 484 IN 2021) WATER AND/OR DISINFECTANT PROJECTS ACROSS THE GLOBE. WE RESPONDED TO SEVERAL DISASTER SITUATIONS WITH THE TWO LARGEST BEING THE DEVASTATING WAR IN UKRAINE AND THE EASTERN KENTUCKY FLOODS. OUR COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM PROVIDED 134,000 POUNDS OF GENTLY USED SHOES TO BE REPURPOSED AND USED AROUND THE WORLD TO BENEFIT OTHERS.
