THE KENTUCKY LABOR/MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE (KLMC) PROMOTES POSITIVE DIALOGUE;THE SHARING OF IDEAS; AND, THE DEVELOPMENT OF COOPERATION BETWEEN ORGANIZED LABOR AND MANGEMENT IN KENTUCKY. THE PRIMARY ACTIVITY OF THE KLMC IS THE PRESENTATION OF AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE THAT FEATURES SPEAKERS AND PANEL DISCUSSIONS ADDRESSING TIEMELY TOPICS OF CONCERN TO BOTH LABOR AND MANAGEMENT. THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE BOTH PARTIES WITH THE CONCERNS OF THE OTHER ON MATTERS OF COMMON INTEREST. THE CONFERENCE ALSO AWARDS THOSE WHO HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO POSITIVE LABOR/MANAGEMENT RELATIONS; YOUNG LABOR/MANGEMENT LEADERS WHO HAVE ALREADY DISTINGUISHED THEMSELVES IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FIELDS; AND, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS PURSUING POST- SECONDARY EDUCATION IN LABOR/MANAGEMENT RELATIONS.
