HOME REMODELING SHOW. THE TOUR OF REMODELED HOMES IS THE REGION'S ONLY SCATTERED SITE HOME SHOW DEDICATED SOLELY TO REMODELING. TOUR ACTUAL REMODELING PROJECTS FROM KITCHENS, TO BATHS TO WHOLE HOME ADDITIONS AND MAKEOVERS. THIS IS YOUR UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE QUALITY AND WORKMANSHIP CREATED BY REGISTERED REMODELERS AND THEIR TRADES PEOPLE.
CALVACADE OF HOMES AND HOMEFEST ARE ANNUAL SHOW EVENTS. IN 2019 AND DUE TO LACK OF AVAILABLE BUILDERS THE HOMEFEST EVENT WAS CANCELED.
THE HBA OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY'S ENZWEILER APPRENTICE TRAINING PROGRAM IS THE LONGEST RUNNING AND ONE OF THE LARGEST POST-SECONDARY APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOME BUILDERS IN THE COUNTRY. THE PROGRAM BEGAN IN 1967 AND CONTINUES TO PROVIDE A WELL-TRAINED WORKFORCE FOR THE LOCAL CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. MANY OF THE ASSOCIATION'S SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSES ARE OWNED AND OPERATED BY GRADUATES OF THE PROGRAM. CLASSES IN CARPENTRY, ELECTRICITY, HEATING AND A/C, PLUMBING, MASONRY, WELDING, FACILITIES MAINTENANCE, AND DIESEL MECHANICS ARE TAUGHT BY PROFESSIONAL TRADES PEOPLE EACH SEPTEMBER THROUGH MARCH. STUDENTS ARE IN CLASS TWO NIGHTS PER WEEK FOR THREE HOURS EACH NIGHT.
