HENDERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU IS A VOLUNTARY ORGANIZATION OF FARM FAMILIES AND THEIR ALLIES DEDICATED TO SERVING AS THE VOICE OF AGRICULTURE BY IDENTIFYING PROBLEMS, DEVELOPING SOLUTIONS AND TAKING ACTIONS WHICH WILL IMPROVE NET FARM INCOME IN HENDERSON COUNTY, KENTUCKY, ACHIEVE BETTER ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL HENDERSONIANS AND KENTUCKIANS.

HENDERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU HAS ESTABLISHED A REPUTATION AS AN EFFECTIVE ADVOCATE FOR ITS MEMBERS. ITS INFORMATION PRODUCTS AND MEMBER SERVICE PROGRAMS ARE ALSO WELL RESPECTED AND HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL. HENDERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU OFFERS VARIOUS MEMBER PROGRAMS INCLUDING PUBLICE AFFAIRS, LEADERSHIP ACITIVITIES, INSURANCE, ACCIDENTAL DEATH POLICIES, SAFETY, HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS AND THEFT REWARD. CONTROL OF HENDERSON FARM BUREAU IS VESTED IN THE HANDS OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS, COMPRISING A GRASS -ROOTS LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE.
WOMEN ARE INVOLVED IN NUMEROUS PROGRAMS AT THE STATE AND COUNTY LEVELS TO BOLSTER THE EFFECTIVENESS OF HENDERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU. A STATEWIDE WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE IS HELD EACH YEAR, ATTRACTING PARTICIPANTS FROM ACROSS THE STATE. SESSIONS DEAL WITH CURRENT AG ISSUES, FARM/HOME CONCERNS, CONSUMER EDUCATION AND EXPANDING LEADERSHIP ROLES.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES - LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IS THE CHIEF GOAL OF HENDERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU'S YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. PROGRAMS INTRODUCE PARTICIPANTS TO THE BUSINESS SIDE OF HENDERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY OFFERING FAMILY-ORIENTED SOCIAL EVENTS FOR THEIR ENJOYMENT. STATEWIDE CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS ARE HELD EACH YEAR TO EDUCATE YOUTH IN AGRICULATURAL ISSUES, INCLUDING INSTITUTE FOR FUTURE AGRICULTURAL LEADERS (IFAL), WHICH EXPOSES STUDENTS TO COLLEGE LIFE AND EXPLORES DIFFERENT FIELDS OF STUDY FOR CAREERS IN AGRICULTURE.
SCHOLARSHIPS - HENDERSON COUNTY FARM BUREAU AWARDS VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS MEMBERS TO HELP THOSE STUDENTS FURTHER THEIR HIGHER EDUCATION GOALS. STUDENTS MUST MEET PRE-SPECIFIED REQUIREMENTS TO BE AWARDED THE SCHOLARSHIPS.
