THE FLORIDA PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE COMMON GOOD AND WELFARE OF ALL CITIZENS IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA, TO PROMOTE THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MEDICINE THROUGH THE UNDERSTANDING AND UTILIZATION OF THE FUNCTIONS AND PROCEDURES OF PHYSICAL THERAPY IN THE PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND ALLEVIATION OF HUMAN AILMENTS, TO MEET THE PHYSICAL THERAPY NEEDS AND INTEREST OF ITS MEMBERS, TO DEVELOP AND IMPROVE THE ART AND SCIENCE OF PHYSICAL THERAPY PRACTICES, AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND ITS MEMBERS OF PHYSICAL THERAPY RESEARCH.
