WE RESCUE, LOVE AND CARE FOR ORPHANS AND IMPOVERISHED CHILDREN IN HAITI, MEETING THEIR PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, EDUCATIONAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS SO THEY ARE EMPOWERED TO BECOME LEADERS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND NATION.

THE MEDICAL + MALNUTRITION CENTER SERVED OVER 6,900 PATIENTS VIA EMERGENCY CARE, INTAKE/ASSESSMENT, DIAGNOSTIC BLOOD ANALYSIS,RADIOLOGY LAB,OUTPATIENT TREATMENT,INPATIENT TREATMENT FOR MALNUTRITION,PHARMACY AND MEDICAL TRANSPORT TO + FROM THE CENTER. THE DENTAL CLINIC SERVED 1,332 PATIENTS WITH DENTAL HYGIENE, PREVENTATIVE + RESTORATIVE SERVICES ALONG WITH SUPPLIES. WELLNESS EDUCATION WAS GIVEN ON DISEASE PREVENTION/WELLNESS. NEAR DEATH CHILDREN WERE SAVED FROM STARVATION THROUGH AN INPATIENT NUTRITION + MEDICAL REGIMEN WITH AN OUTPATIENT PROGRAM TO ENSURE WELLNESS AND TO MONITOR PATIENTS' FOOD SECURITY. OUR MALNUTRITION MOUNTAIN OUTREACH TREATED 2,850 CHILDREN WHO LIVE IN RURAL AREAS WITHOUT ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE.
APPROXIMATELY 500 PEOPLE FROM THE COMMUNITY ATTEND TEMPLE DE L'ESPOIR, A CHURCH OPERATED BY THE ORGANIZATION ON ITS CAMPUS EACH WEEK. THE CHURCH HOSTS CONFERENCES AND EVENTS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY FOR SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT. THE CHILDREN'S OUTREACH PROGRAM, SIDEWALK SAFARI SCHOOL, BRINGS BIBLE AND SPIRITUAL LESSONS TO THE STREETS AND SURROUNDING VILLAGES OF OUANAMINTHE, AND ENGAGES CHILDREN THROUGH VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL PROGRAMS UTILIZING BIBLE LESSONS, SONGS, PRAYER, ARTS AND FUN. THE FARM IS LOCTED ON 106 ACRES OF LAND OUTSIDE OF OUANAMINTHE. THE FARMING PROJECT CURRENTLY CONSISTS OF PEANUTS, SUGAR CANE, PINEAPPLE, BANANA TREES, PLANTAIN TREES AND YUCA PLANTS. THE NEXT PHASE IS DEVELOPING A GOAT AND CHICKEN FARM. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO BECOME MORE SELF-SUSTAINABLE. THIS PROJECT WILL SUPPLEMENT OUR FEEDING PROGRAM, ENSURING THAT WE CAN PROVIDE NUTRITIOUS FOOD FOR THE CHILDREN WHO COME TO US FOR HELP.
CHILDREN'S HOMES PROVIDED FULL-TIME CARE FOR 60 ORPHANS IN 6 INDEPENDENTLY OPERATING HOUSEHOLDS WHICH INCLUDE A HOUSE PARENT FOR 12-15 CHILDREN. THIS PROVIDES A NURTURING FAMILY-TYPE SETTING WITH SAFE, COMFORTABLE SHELTER,NOURISHING FOOD (3 MEALS PER DAY), CLOTHING(INCLUDING SCHOOL UNIFORMS), AND EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL CARE/SUPPORT. OF THE 6 HOMES,ONE IS FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN. THERE ARE THREE TRAINED NURSES WHO PROVIDE 24/7 SPECIALIZED NURSING CARE TO EACH CHILD AND HOUSE MOMS PROVIDE CARE TO THESE CHILDREN,TREATING EACH ONE OF THEM WITH THE UTMOST DIGNITY,RESPECT AND LOVE. THE SPECIAL NEEDS HOUSE PROVIDED 14 CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES WITH CARE. THESE CHILDREN ARE OFTEN DISCARDED BY THEIR FAMILIES AND SOCIETY.
THE SCHOOL EDUCATED 367 STUDENTS, PRESCHOOL-GRADE 13, INCLUDING 48 CHILDREN FROM CHILDREN'S HOMES AND NEARBY OUANAMINTHE. THE SCHOOL HAS 17 CLASSROOMS + EMPLOYS 40 HAITIANS, PROVIDING SUPPLIES, BOOKS, UNIFORMS + MEDICAL CARE. A FEEDING PROGRAM BEGAN IN 2002 WHEN CHILDREN WOULD COME TO SCHOOL HUNGRY,UNABLE TO FOCUS. CURRICULUM FOLLOWS HAITI'S MINISTRY OF EDUCATION + INCLUDES U.S. BASED STRATEGIES FOR ANALYTICAL REASONING AND PROBLEM- SOLVING. STUDENTS LEARN FOUR LANGUAGES. THE SPORTS PROGRAM ALLOWS STUDENTS TO COMPETE IN SPORTS SUCH AS SOCCER AND VOLLEYBALL. SINCE 2014, 61 OF 62 STUDENTS HAVE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL AND RECEIVED SUPPORT + GUIDANCE THROUGH THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WITH 10 ATTENDING COLLEGE/VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN HAITI AND 12 ATTENDING COLLEGE IN THE U.S.
