THE INTERFAITH MEMBER CONGREGATION PLEDGE TO WORK TOGETHER TO ADDRESS INJUSTICE AND ROOT CAUSES OF POVERTY IN VOLUSIA COUNTY. THE GROUP HAS SERVED ABOUT 20,000 PEOPLE. IT HAS BEEN ACTIVE IN HEALTHCARE AT THE HALIFAX HOSPITAL FOR THE LOW TO MODERATE INCOME GROUPS. IT HAS EXPANDED READING PROGRAMS IN THE SCHOOLS. LATE NIGHT BUS TRANSPORTATION WAS OBTAINED FOR WORKERS WHO TRAVEL TO AND FROM LATE NIGHT JOBS. IT IS PRESENTLY ADDRESSING THE ISSUE OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING. A SUBSTANCE TREATMENT PROGRAM IS ON GOING IN THE COUNTY JAIL & COMMUNITY. IT HAS DOUBLED THE STREET LEVEL NARCOTICS UNITS FOR DESIGNATED AREAS.

COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMS:PROVIDE TRAINING AND BASIC COMMUNITY ORGANIZING TECHNIQUES TO OVER 1,000 LEADERS OF 20 DIVERSE CONGREGATIONS. IN 2008, FAITH SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE, EXPANDED A READING CURRICULUM IN CERTAIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND INITIATED A JOBS CAMPAIGN.
