THE ASMBS FOUNDATION HOSTS AN ANNUAL FUNDRAISING WALK "WALK FROM OBESITY" IN 22 CITIES WITH 20,000 PARTICIPANTS. WITH THESE MONIES WE FUND CRITICAL RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF MORBID OBESITY AND RELATED DISEASES AND ISSUE GRANTS FOR EDUCATION OF THOSE AFFECTED BY OBESITY, THEIR FAMILIES, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO DEVELOP A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF OBESITY, ITS CONSEQUENCES AND TREATMENTS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO HOSTS AN ANNUAL FUNDRAISING AWARDS BANQUET IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ASMBS ANNUAL CONFERENCE.
