OUR MISSION TO PROMOTE POSITIVE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY AND THE LAKELAND POLICE DEPARTMENT USING EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES DIRECTED THROUGH A VARIETY OF YOUTH PROGRAMMING. GOALS & PHILOSOPHY THE GOAL OF THE LAKELAND POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE (PAL) IS TO PROVIDE ENRICHING PROGRAMS FOR THE YOUTH OF THE COMMUNITY THAT ARE FUN AND WILL INSPIRE THEM TO LEARN AND PRACTICE THE VALUES OF SPORTSMANSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP, AND PHYSICAL FITNESS. PAL SERVES OVER 1,500 CHILDREN EACH YEAR, PROVIDING ACTIVITIES SUCH AS YOUTH FOOTBALL, CHEERLEADING, BASEBALL, BASKETBALL, TRACK & FIELD, WRESTLING AND THE DRIVEN 1 FITNESS PROGRAM. LAKELAND PAL STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS MENTOR TO HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN EACH YEAR PROVIDING TO CHILDREN WHO MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN OTHER ORGANIZED RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES DUE TO TRANSPORTATION ISSUES OR ECONOMIC REASONS.
