HEALTHY START COMMUNITY COALITION OF OKALOOSA AND WALTON COUNTIES, INC. IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AUTHORIZED UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FLORIDA STATUTE 383.216. THIS LEGISLATION IS DESIGNED TO ESTABLISH A SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES WOMEN ACCESS TO PRENATAL CARE AND INFANTS ACCESS TO SERVICES THAT PROMOTE GOOD HEALTH, NORMAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO IMPLEMENT THE PROVISIONS OF FLORIDA'S HEALTHY START LEGISLATION WITHIN OKALOOSA AND WALTON COUNTIES. THE HEALTHY START COALITION MISSION IS TO EDUCATE, PROMOTE POSITIVE BIRTH OUTCOMES, AND PROTECT THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF ALL MOTHERS AND CHILDREN IN OKALOOSA AND WALTON COUNTIES.
