HARMONY FARMS USES THERAPEUTIC HORSEBACK RIDING TO TEACH RIDING SKILLS TO PEOPLE WITH A DIVERSE RANGE OF DIABILITIES. THERAPEUTIC RIDING IS BENEFICIAL FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WHO PRESENT A WIDE RANGE OF COGNITIVE, PHYSICAL, AND/OR EMOTIONAL CONDITIONS. RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF THOSE WITH DISABILITIES FOR OVER 25 YEARS, HARMONY FARMS, WITH SIX CERTIFIED THERAPEUTIC RIDING INSTRUCTORS, SERVES 60 RIDERS A WEEK WITH OVER 30 ON THE WAITING LIST. HARMONY FARMS HOSTS OVER 200 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS ANNUALLY USING HORSES TO MOTIVATE CHILDREN TO READ. AS A MEMBER OF THE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HORSEMANSHIP INTERNATIONAL, HARMONY FARMS IS AN APPROVED LOCATION FOR COMMMUNITY-SERVICE AND SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS. WE ARE AN OFF CAMPUS TRAINING SITE FOR SEVERAL UNIVERSITY THERAPY AND MEDICAL PROGRAMS. OUR FREE VETERANS PROGRAM PROVIDES THERAPY TO VETERANS WITH POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER.
