THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THE PROVISION OF TOBACCO CESSATION TO FLORIDA'S TOBACCO USERS. CONSISTENT WITH CDC BEST PRACTICES, CFAHEC WILL PROVIDE GROUP CESSATION COUNSELING AND TOBACCO CESSATION RESOURCES SUCH AS NICOTINE REPLACEMENT THERAPY THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE INTENDED AUDIENCE.
TO IMPROVE THE DISTRIBUTION, DIVERSITY, AND QUALITY OF HEALTH PERSONNEL IN THE HEALTH SERVICES DELIVERY SYSTEM BY ENCOURAGING THE REGIONAL ORGANIZATION OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS SCHOOLS. CFAHEC PROGRAM ASSISTS SCHOOLS IN PLANNING, DEVELOPING, AND OPERATING AREA HEALTH EDUCATION CENTERS THAT WILL INITIATE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS INCENTIVES TO BOTH ATTRACT AND RETAIN HEALTH CARE PERSONNEL IN SCARCITY AREAS.
