PROVIDING THE GIFTS OF HOPE AND LIFE TO PATIENTS FACING END-STAGE ORGAN DISEASE AND POTENTIALLY LIFE-SAVING ORGAN TRANSPLANTS THROUGH SUPPORT OF LIFELINK FOUNDATION, WHICH PROVIDES MEDICAL CARE FOR UNFUNDED PATIENTS IN NEED.

LIFELINK LEGACY FUND IS A NON-PROFIT SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION OF LIFELINK FOUNDATION THAT PROVIDES FUNDING TO FURTHER THE MISSION OF SAVING LIVES THROUGH ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION AND TRANSPLANTATION. AID FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT, MEDICAL STUDENT RESEARCH/INTERN PROGRAMS AND PRE- AND POST-ORGAN TRANSPLANT PATIENTS IN FINANCIAL NEED ARE JUST A FEW OF THE IMPACTIVE INITIATIVES OF LIFELINK LEGACY FUND. TOTAL CONTRIBUTIONS RAISED $145,962.(CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR TRANSPLANT PATIENTS - PLEDGE PROGRAMTHE PLEDGE PROGRAM PROVIDES A FINANCIAL GUARANTEE FOR PRE-TRANSPLANT PATIENTS WHOSE ONLY BARRIER TO PLACEMENT ON THE ORGAN TRANSPLANT WAITING LIST IS FINANCIAL CLEARANCE FROM THEIR TRANSPLANT CENTER. PLEDGE PROGRAM DOLLARS ARE ACCESSIBLE FOR PATIENT CARE AFTER THE DATE OF HAVING RECEIVED THE GIFT OF LIFE THROUGH ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION.TO DATE, 34 PEOPLE HAVE RECEIVED A LIFESAVING ORGAN TRANSPLANT THANKS TO FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE RECEIVED SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THE PROGRAM. OF THOSE, FOUR (4) TRANSPLANTED PATIENTS ARE STILL ACCESSING THEIR PLEDGE FUNDS AND THREE (3) PATIENTS ARE ENROLLED IN THIS PROGRAM AND AWAITING THEIR ORGAN TRANSPLANT. THIS PROGRAM HELPS PATIENTS MEET NECESSARY FUNDING REQUIREMENTS FOR PLACEMENT ON THE NATIONAL ORGAN TRANSPLANT WAITING LIST.PATIENT ASSISTANCELIFELINK LEGACY FUND CONTINUED TO SERVE TRANSPLANT PATIENTS IN FINANCIAL NEED. FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022, THE LIFELINK LEGACY FUND FULFILLED 49 PATIENT ASSISTANCE REQUESTS TOTALING $44,705 IN SUPPORT FOR SHORT-TERM NECESSARY EXPENSES RELATED TO THEIR TRANSPLANT CARE, INCLUDING MEDICATION, TRAVEL, AND ESSENTIAL DENTAL PROCEDURES, AMONG OTHERS. THESE FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS WERE AVAILABLE TO PATIENTS AT PARTNER ORGAN TRANSPLANT CENTERS IN FLORIDA, GEORGIA, AND PUERTO RICO. LIFELINK LEGACY FUND CO-HOSTED THE 2022 ROAR THROUGH YBOR 5K & 1 MILE FUN ON APRIL 1, 2022, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FELLOW CO-HOST LIONS EYE INSTITUTE FOR TRANSPLANT & RESEARCH. THIS EVENT IS INTENDED TO CONTINUE THE LIFESAVING MESSAGE OF ORGAN, TISSUE, AND EYE DONATION, WHILE RAISING FUNDS FOR LIFELINK LEGACY FUND INITIATIVES THAT BENEFIT ORGAN, TISSUE AND EYE DONATION AND TRANSPLANTATION OUTCOMES. THIS EVENT HELPED BENEFIT THE LIFELINK LEGACY FUND APPROXIMATELY $11,000.
LIFELINK LEGACY FUND AWARDED SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND COMMUNITY GRANTS. THE LIFELINK LEGACY FUND PROVIDED FUNDING FOR A CLINICAL RESEARCH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AIMED AT PROVIDING PRE-MEDICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS A HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WORKING DIRECTLY WITH ORGAN TRANSPLANT PHYSICIANS IN A HOSPITAL SETTING. FUNDING WAS ALSO PROVIDED IN SUPPORT OF THE 2022 TRANSPLANT GAMES OF AMERICA IN WHICH TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS AND LIVING DONORS COMPETE IN ATHLETIC AND RECREATIONAL COMPETITIONS. DISTRIBUTION OF SUPPORT FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND COMMUNITY GRANTS TOTALED $64,524.
