HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE IS OFFERED TO SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT COVERED UNDER MEDICAID OR PRIVATE INSURANCE. APPROXIMATELY 181,106 CHILDREN WERE COVERED AS OF JUNE 30, 2021 IN ALL OF FLORIDA'S SIXTY-SEVEN COUNTIES.
FLORIDA HEALTHY KIDS PERFORMS STATUTORILY REQUIRED ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS RELATED TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA'S TITLE XXI AND OTHER PROGRAMS (CHILDREN'S MEDICAL SERVICES AND MEDIKIDS). THESE ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES INCLUDE MEDICAID SCREENING, APPLICATION PROCESSING, AND ENROLLMENT AND RECORD KEEPING FUNCTIONS FOR THE STATE'S CMS AND MEDIKIDS PROGRAMS.
