THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A 25-UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX FOR THE DISABLED LOCATED IN CLEARWATER, FLORIDA. THE PROJECT IS OPERATED UNDER SECTION 202 OF THE HOUSING ACT AND IS REGULATED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT.THIS PROGRAM IS STRUCTURED TO SUPPORT RESIDENTS IN DEVELOPING THE NECESSARY SKILLS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY IN THE COMMUNITY. AS PART OF THE PROGRAM, THE RESIDENTS ARE PROVIDED WEEKLY EDUCATION IN SAFETY AND SOCIAL SKILLS, HEALTH AND NUTRITION, JOB SKILL TRAINING, AND PERSONAL BUDGETING. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO EITHER WORK, ACTIVELY BE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT, OR VOLUNTEER WEEKLY.
