MARY AND MARTHA HOUSE ASSISTS WOMEN AND THEIR DEPENDENT CHILDREN FROM CRISIS TO SELF-SUSTAINABILITY AND IS DEDICATED TO BOTH ABUSED AND HOMELESS WOMEN. THE EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAM OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT SYSTEM THAT PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL HOUSING AND EXTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT TO MOVE FAMILIES THROUGH THE FOUR PHASES OF HOMELESSNESS WHICH ARE: CRISIS, STABILIZATION, EMPLOYMENT, AND SECURING PERMANENT HOUSING.
THE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED TO "BRIDGE" BETWEEN EMERGENCY SHELTER AND PERMANENT HOUSING. EACH PARTICIPANT IS OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO: 1. INCREASE THEIR INCOME AND SKILL LEVELS 2. DEVELOP GREATER SELF-DETERMINATION AND 3. GAIN RESOURCES TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN PERMANENT HOUSING STABILITY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES WHICH HELPS SURVIVORS TO IMPROVE THEIR EMPLOYMENT READINESS SKILLS AND DEVELOP WORKPLACE MATURITY SKILLS TO GAIN EMPLOYMENT.
