THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATORS AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS A FORUM TO SHARE AND EXCHANGE IDEAS, TECHNIQUES, MATERIALS AND PROCEDURES REGARDING THE USE OF MODERN DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE AND METHODS.

THE FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF EDUCATIONAL DATA SYSTEMS, INC. (FAEDS) ANNUALLY SPONSORS AND PROMOTES THE FLORIDA INSTRUCTIONAL COMPUTING CONFERENCE (FICC) FOR EDUCATORS, EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND VENDORS TO INTERACT AND DISCUSS CURRENT METHODS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE AVAILABLE FOR DATA PROCESSING. APPROXIMATELY 300 PEOPLE ATTEND THE CONFERENCE EACH YEAR. EACH CONFERENCE HAS PRESENTATION AND EXHIBITS OF INTEREST TO FLORIDA EDUCATORS, ADMINISTRATORS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PERSONNEL. FAEDS ALSO CO-SPONSORS THE ANNUAL FLORIDA EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (FETC).
THE FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF EDUCATIONAL DATA SYSTEMS, INC. (FAEDS) OFFERS THREE SCHOLARSHIPS PER YEAR TO INDIVIDUALS WHO INTEND TO ENTER INTO THE EDUCATIONAL COMPUTING PROFESSION. THE WILLIAM J. ENGLISH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, THE ROBERT W. SIMS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AND THE FAEDS TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP ARE GIVEN TO STUDENTS TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. THERE WERE NO SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS AWARDED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2022.
