IN 2022, NHS TOOK IN 1101 ANIMALS: 640 DOGS AND 461 CATS. THESE ANIMALS PRIMARILY CAME FROM FLORIDA AND GEORGIA - MANY OF THEM COMING FROM OVERCROWEDED KILL SHELTERS. NHS TAKES CARE OF ALL MEDICAL AND BEHAVIOR NEEDS PRIOR TO ADOPTION INCLUDING SPAY/NEUTER, HEARTWORM TREATMENT, VACCINATIONS, MEDICATIONS, BEHAVIOR TRAINING AND ANY REQUIRED SPECIALIZED CARE.
