THE FGCSA PRODUCES A COLOR QUARTERLY MAGAZINE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON STATEWIDE TURF MANAGEMENT AND PROFESSIONAL ISSUES. IT SERVES TO EDUCATE THE SUPERINTENDENT ON TECHNICAL ISSUES AND PROMOTES THE SUPERINTENDENTS ROLE AS A KEY MEMBER OF HIS OR HER FACILITY. THERE IS A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER WHICH CONTAINS UPDATES AND INFORMATION ON KEY ISSUES FACING FLORIDA SUPERINTENDENTS AND ASSOCIATION BUSINESS
THE FGSCA WORKS WITH THE FLORIDA TURFGRASS ASSOCIATION TO CREATE A GOLF COURSE EDUATION TRACK AT THE FLORIDA TURFGRASS CONFERENCE AND SHOW. THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE SPONSORS PROGRAMS AROUND THE STATE IN RESPONSE TO MEMBERS NEEDS. THE FGSCA ALSO CONDUCTS CERTIFICATION CLASSES AND EXAMS PER YEAR FOR GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENTS AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS. IN ADDITION, MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT RESEARCH TOPICS TO THE ORGANIZATION DIRECTLY OR THROUGH LOCAL CHAPTERS. THE FGSCA ALONG WITH LOCAL CHAPTERS MAKE DONATIONS TO VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AND UNIVERSITIES TO PROMOTE RESEARCH.
