THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION AND PROMOTES ACTIVITIES AND POLICIES TO PRESERVE, PROTECT, AND REPAIR FLORIDA'S BEACHES.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE ANNUAL MEETING/CONFERENCE - FOR ALL MEMBERS TO DISCUSS FLORIDAS BEACH MANAGEMENT EFFORTS, CONSERVATION PRACTICES, AND BEACH NOURISHMENT PROJECTS. THE GENERAL BUSINESS MEETING OF THE ORGANIZATION IS ALSO CONDUCTED AND IS OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE. THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE PROGRAM WAS EXPANDED IN SCOPE TO INCLUDE INSTRUCTION ON OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL RESILIENCE INITIATIVES IN FLORIDA. FSBPA HAS PARTNERED WITH RESILIENCY FLORIDA TO ACCOMPLISH THE CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES. IN 2022, THE ANNUAL MEETING/CONFERENCE WAS CANCELLED WITH THE BUSINESS MEETING BEING RESCHEDULE TO NOVEMBER 15, 2022. THE ORIGINAL EVENT WAS INSURED TO MEET OTHER OBLIGATIONS. REVENUE OF 221,489 IS FROM CANCELLATION INSURANCE CLAIM WITH REVENUE SHARE EXPENSE TO RESILIENCY FLORIDA OF 62,128.

NATIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM ON BEACH PRESERVATION TECHNOLOGY - ATTENDANCE INCLUDES VARIOUS FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES, DESIGN PROFESSIONALS, AND A NUMBER OF SPECIALIZED INTERESTS AND CONCERNED CITIZENS WHO HAVE AN INTEREST IN PRESERVING BEACHES AND ADDRESSING THEIR CRITICAL EROSION WITH VARIOUS ENGINEERED AND NATURAL SOLUTIONS.
GOVERNMENTAL MEMBERSHIP SERVICES - INFORMATIONAL DISSEMINATION SERVICES INCLUDE A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER, GOVERNMENTAL UPDATES AND ALERTS IN AN EFFORT TO KEEP GOVERNMENTAL, AS WELL AS, GENERAL MEMBERS WELL-INFORMED. STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE, ADMINISTRATIVE, AND POLICY INITIATIVES, CHANGES, AND INFORMATION AND TESTIMONY ARE PROVIDED BY STAFF AND MEMBERS IN VARIOUS FORUMS UPON REQUEST. PUBLIC HEARING NOTICES ARE CONTINUALLY MONITORED, AND SUCH FORMAL HEARINGS ARE FREQUENTLY ATTENDED.
