ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM: FOUNDING THE TALLAHASSEE 100% TOGETHER COALITION WHICH IS WORKING WITH THE CITY OF TALLAHASSEE TO IMPLEMENT A 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY GOAL FOR THE CITY OF TALLAHASSEE. HOSTING RECLAIMING FLORIDA'S FUTURE FOR ALL EDUCATING FLORIDIANS AND LEADERS ON ENERGY ISSUES. THIS YEAR IT WAS HYBRID WITH OVER 150 PARTICIPANTS. LAUNCHING THE UPPER LIMIT PROJECT TO ASK ECONOMIC LEADERS TO SEEK AN UPPER LIMIT FOR SEA LEVEL RISE AND HEAT FOR FLORIDA AND ACT TO KEEP ITS EMISSIONS CONSISTENT WITH THAT UPPER LIMIT.
YOUTH EDUCATION: RETHINK ENERGY'S YOUTH EDUCATION PROGRAM ENCOURAGES YOUNG PEOPLE TO JOIN THE CONVERSATION ABOUT CLEAN ENERGY AND IMPLEMENTING SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES. OUR STEM ED PROGRAM PROVIDES DURING AND AFTER SCHOOL STEM LESSONS FOCUSING ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. OUR YOUNG ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS YEL PROGRAM GIVES STUDENTS THE TOOLS TO ADDRESS ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS THROUGH PERSONAL PROJECTS AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. ENERGY CAMP IS OUR ANNUAL SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM DESIGNED TO TEACH YOUTH ABOUT ALL THE WAYS THEY INTERACT WITH ENERGY AND HOW THEY CAN DO SO SUSTAINABLY.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: RETHINK ENERGY FLORIDA SUPPORTS INTERNS IN A YEAR-ROUND INTERNSHIP PROGRAM SPANNING 2 CONSECUTIVE SEMESTERS WITH EACH INTERN WORKING 10 HOURS A WEEK. OUR PROGRAM OFFERS A UNIQUE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY WITH REAL HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE AND BROAD EXPOSURE TO THE NONPROFIT WORLD. OUR INTERNS WORK ALONGSIDE OUR AMAZING RETHINK ENERGY FLORIDA TEAM MEMBERS WHO ARE COMMITTED TO HELPING INTERNS DEVELOP AND REFINE THEIR SKILLS WITHIN A CHOSEN FIELD. OUR INTERNS CAN SELECT TO WORK IN: GRANT WRITING ADVOCACY EDUCATION SOCIAL MEDIA EVENTS AND VOLUNTEER COORDINATION WHILE FOCUSING ON THE ADVANCEMENT OF IMPORTANT STRATEGIC PROJECTS WITHIN THEIR ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT OR PROGRAM.
