PROVIDED FEDERATED FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND SUBSEQUENT GRANTS TO OTHER CHARITIES AND THE JEWISH FEDERATIONS OF NORTH AMERICA. PROVIDED COMMUNITY EVENTS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC. GRANTS ARE PAYMENTS TO THEIR AFFILIATES, LOCAL SYNAGOGUES, THE JEWISH FEDERATIONS OF NORTH AMERICA, AND CHARITIES IN ISRAEL. THE ORGANIZATION IS THE MAIN CONTRIBUTOR TO PUT ON THE HERITAGE FESTIVAL. PROVIDED FUNDS FOR THE LOCAL JEWISH CEMETERY AND ACQUIRING AMBULANCES IN ISRAEL.
PROVIDED ENDOWMENT FUNDS FOR TEMPLES TO BRING IN SPEAKERS, GAVE MONEY FOR THE JEWISH CEMETERY, GAVE OUT FOOD FOR PASSOVER & EASTER, GAVE OUT SPECIAL FOOD FOR THE JEWISH NEW YEAR, CHANUKAH, AND PASSOVER FOR THE JEWISH PEOPLE. JUDGED THE HOLOCAUST PROGRAMS AT HINSON MIDDLE SCHOOL IN DAYTONA BEACH. JUDGED THE HOLOCAUST PROGRAMS AT THE SOCIAL STUDIES FAIR AT DELAND HIGH SCHOOL AND GAVE OUT PRIZES. HAD 3 LUNCHEONS FOR THE JEWISH HOLIDAYS COMPLETE WITH ENTERTAINMENT AND GOOD FOOD FOR THE INDIGENT ELDERLY.
PROVIDED SOCIAL SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY IN THE FORM OF FOOD, CASE WORK, AND DIRECT FINANCIAL AID TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES CONSISTING OF FOOD AND REFERRAL SERVICE TO OTHER AGENCIES. 12,993 PEOPLE RECEIVED TEN DAYS' WORTH OF FOOD INCLUDING MEAT, FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES, JUICE, CEREAL, AND PASTRIES FROM THE JERRY DOLINER FOOD BANK. 35 PEOPLE RECEIVED HELP WITH MEDICAL EQUIPMENT. 85 JEWISH ELDERLY, 80 YEARS OR OLDER, AND RESIDENTS OF ASSISTED LIVING OR NURSING HOMES WERE PROVIDED WITH GIFTS AND LUNCHES.927 FAMILIES RECEIVED HOLIDAY MEAL BASKETS FOR EASTER, THANKSGIVING, AND CHRISTMAS, AND 239 CHILDREN AND TWEENS RECEIVED 539 TOYS OR GIFT CARDS FOR CHANUKAH AND CHRISTMAS.INDIVIDUALS ARE PROVIDED ASSISTANCE REGARDLESS OF THEIR RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION. NINETY-EIGHT PERCENT OF THE PEOPLE SERVED WERE NOT OF THE JEWISH FAITH.
PROVIDED SCHOOL SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION TO NEEDY CHILDREN. 8,439 BACKPACKS FILLED WITH AGE APPROPRIATE SUPPLIES WERE DISTRIBUTED TO LESS FORTUNATE YOUTHS IN ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, AND HIGH SCHOOLS, TO TEACHERS, AND TO ADULTS ENROLLED IN GED PROGRAMS.
