THE ORGANIZATION IS A LICENSEE OF NINE NONCOMMERCIAL/EDUCATIONAL FM RADIO STATIONS. IT OPERATES THE STATIONS TO SERVE THE PUBLIC WITH OVER-THE-AIR NONCOMMERCIAL/EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING IN THE SPIRIT OF CONGRESS' PUBLIC RADIO ACT OF 1967.

THE ORGANIZATION IS REGULATED BY THE FCC VIA A LICENSE RENEWAL PROCESS TO INSURE THAT IT PROVIDES PROGRAMMING IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY. AN EXAMPLE OF THAT MEETS THESE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: BROADCASTING INTERVIEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS WITH OTHER LOCAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
THE ORGANIZATION IS REGULATED BY THE FCC VIA A LICENSE RENEWAL PROCESS TO INSURE THAT IT PROVIDES PROGRAMMING IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST, CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY. AN EXAMPLE OF THAT MEETS THESE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: GERMAN LANGUAGE AND GERMAN MUSIC WEEKLY, INCLUDING NEWS FROM GERMANY INTENDED FOR GERMAN AMERICANS IN THE COMMUNITY. A SIMILAR POLISH CULTURAL PROGRAM COMPLETES THE 90 MINUTE WEEKLY BROADCAST THAT IS IN IT'S 32ND YEAR. HOSTS ARE RETIRED VOLUNTEERS.
