FLORIDA ELECTRIC POWER COORDINATING GROUP IS AN UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION THAT REPRESENTS INVESTOR-OWNED UTILITIES, RURAL ELECTRIC COOPERATIVES, AND MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC UTILITIES ON ENVIRONMENTAL, TRANSPORTATION, AND MUTUAL AID ASSISTANCE ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE UTILITY INDUSTRY IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. A FORUM FOR ITS MEMBERSHIP IS PROVIDED THAT FACILITATES THE ANALYSIS, DISCUSSION, AND DELIBERATION OF POLICY AND PROCEDURAL ISSUES AMONG MEMBER UTILITIES. ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE COORDINATING ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES FOR MEMBERS AT THE STATE LEVEL, COORDINATING CERTAIN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES FOR MEMBERS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL AND COORDINATING TRANSPORTATION ISSUES AT THE STATE LEVEL.
