THE ORGANIZATION SERVES AS A GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS ADVOCATE AND CONDUCTS A YEAR-ROUND LEGISLATIVE AND LOBBYING PROGRAM IN FLORIDA'S STATE CAPITAL. THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDE AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND TWO EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETINGS.
THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO MEMBERS ON FIRE AND RESCUE ISSUES, HEALTH AND SAFETY, PENSION AND RETIREMENT, AMONG OTHERS. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 25,820 ACTIVE MEMBERS.
