COASTAL CENTER OPERATIONS - FLORIDA OCEANOGRAPHIC SOCIETY'S MISSION IS TO INSPIRE ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP OF FLORIDA'S COASTAL ECOSYSTEMS THROUGH EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY, SITUATED ON 57-ACRES, THE COASTAL CENTER WELCOMES OVER 60,000 GUESTS ANNUALLY AND IS HOME TO OVER 300 ANIMALS INCLUDING 30+ SPECIES OF FISH, STINGRAYS, NURSE SHARKS, AND 4 SEA TURTLES. THE 26,000 SQUARE FOOT OCEAN ECOCENTER INCLUDES 4 EDUCATIONAL INTERACTIVE EXHIBIT GALLERIES, AQUARIUMS AND AN EXPLORATION LAB CLASSROOM FOR DAILY AND SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
