VARIOUS ACCOMPLISHMENTS: CHAMBER SOUTH PROVIDES EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAT PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ITS BUSINESS MEMBERS. THE ANNUAL BUSINESS EXPO DRAWS HUNDREDS TO SEE AND MEET THE APPROXIMATELY EIGHTY BUSINESS MEMBERS EXHIBITING. THE EXCELLENCE AWARD BANQUET, ACKNOWLEDGES THE BUSINESS MEMBERS, AND THE CHAMBER FOR THEIRCOMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND BUSINESS ACUMEN AND HONORS THE INDIVIDUALS WHO EXCEL IS GIVING BACK TO THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT COMMUNITY. THE THIRTEEN COMMITTEES EACH PROMOTE THEIR PURPOSE INCLUDING PROMOTING TO THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AT LARGE AND WITHIN THE CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP. THE CHAIRMANS RECEPTION IS A FUN EVENT THAT THANKS THE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS AND VOLUNTEERSTHAT HAVE DONE SO MUCH DURING THE YEAR AND WELCOME THE MEMBERS THAT ARE STEPPING UP TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE COMING YEAR.


NETWORKING BREAKFAST AND LUNCH MEETINGS: OUR NETWORK LUNCHEON IS A FUN,INFORMAL EVENT WHERE ATTENDEES MEET EVERYONE IN THE ROOM. WE HAVE MEMBERS WHO DO FORTY PERCENT OF THEIR BUSINESS AS A RESULT OF THEIR REGULAR ATTENDANCE AT THIS MONTHLY EVENT. IT IS A MUST FOR THE NEW MEMBERS ALSO, WHO FEEL AS IF THEY HAVE KNOWN THE PEOPLE FOR YEARS. THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP BREAKFAST IS CHAMBER SOUTHS OFFICIAL MONTHLY MEETING. SPECIAL SPEAKERS PROVIDE APPROPRIATE BUSINESS AND COMMUNITYRELATED INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE. IT IS THE AREAS PLACE FOR BUSINESS PERSONS TO BE AND BE SEEN RESULTING IN EXPOSURE FOR THEIR COMPANY.


ART FESTIVAL: THIS IS AN ANNUAL EVENT. IT IS A FINE ARTS SHOW PRODUCED BY CHAMBER SOUTH FEATURING JURIED ARTISTS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND THE WORLD. HELD ON THE FIRST WEEKEND OF NOVEMBER, THE SHOW KICKS OFF THE FESTIVAL SEASON IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. IT IS HELD ON HISTORIC SUNSET DRIVE IN THE HEART OF SOUTH MIAMI AND ATTRACTS OVER 50K PEOPLE. THE EVENT IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FREE OF CHARGE, PROVIDING AN OUTSTANDING MULTICULTURAL EXPERIENCE IN A FAMILY SETTING. OUT GOAL IS TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE OUR COMMUNITY WITH A QUALITY FINE ART SHOW THAT WILL BOTH STIMULATE THE LOCAL ECONOMY AND INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE ARTS. THE EVENT WILL INCLUDE OVER 100 ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD REPRESENTING MEDIA SUCH AS CERAMICS AND CLAY; DIGITAL ART; TEXTILES; GLASS; JEWELRY AND METALWORK; TWO-DIMENSIONAL MIXED MEDIA; THREE-DIMENSIONAL MIXED MEDIA; PAINTING; PHOTOGRAPHY; PRINTMAKING AND DRAWING; SCULPTURE; AND WOOD.
