THE COLUMBUS MUSEUM BRINGS AMERICAN ART AND HISTORY TO LIFE FOR THE COMMUNITIES OF THE CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE MUSEUM EXHIBITS AMERICAN ART AND REGIONAL HISTORY, CONDUCTS WORKSHOPS, LECTURES, AND RECEPTIONS. THE MUSEUM PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR ART EDUCATION FOR THE LOCAL SCHOOL SYSTEM, AND GENERALLY CONTRIBUTES TO THE EXPOSURE AND EDUCATION OF THE CITIZENS TO AMERICAN ART AND REGIONAL HISTORY. ADMISSION IS FREE AND THE POTENTIAL TWO STATE AUDIENCE FOR THE MUSEUM IS IN EXCESS OF 200,000 PEOPLE. DURING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR THE MUSEUM SERVED 11,903 PEOPLE THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND EVENTS INCLUDING 43 CLASSES, 97 TOURS, 16 PUBLIC FESTIVALS AND LECTURES, AND 2 SUMMER CAMPS. THE MUSEUM ALSO PARTNERED WITH 7 COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND 14 SCHOOLS TO OFFER OFFSITE PROGRAMMING AT THEIR LOCATIONS.
