TOURISM IS PROMOTED AT BANKS CROSSING BY PLACING ADS IN LOCAL NEWSPAPERS AND RADIO STATIONS PROMOTING SPECIAL EVENTS FEATURED IN THE COUNTY. SPONSORING LOCAL FESTIVALS. PROVIDING BROCHURES THAT ADVERTISE LOCAL BUSINESSES AT BANKS CROSSING WHICH IS A MAJOR TOURIST AREA IN OUR COUNTY FOR SHOPPING. THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT ALLOCATES 40% OF THE HOTEL & MOTEL TAX TO BE USED BY THE CVB TO PROMOTE TOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THE COUNTY. ALSO BILLBOARDS ARE PLACED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF GA PROMOTING BANKS COUNTY.
