COMMUNITIES FOR CHILDREN (C4C) IS THE FISCAL AGENT FOR MULTIPLE PROGRAMS FOR THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF EARLY CARE AND LEARNING WHEREBY C4C ASSISTS CHILDCARE AND FAMILY CHILDCARE LEARNING HOMES IN OBTAINING TECHNOLOGY AND LEARNING MATERIALS FOR USE IN THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT. C4C PARTICIPATED IN THE GA DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND CHILD SERVICES SECRET SANTA PROGRAM THROUGH ITS HOLIDAY STOCKING CAMPAIGN. WE ARE DELIGHTED THAT 146 CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE ACROSS GEORGIA RECEIVED STOCKINGS. AN ADDITIONAL DONATION OF WAS MADE TO GEORGIA DFCS FOR THEIR SECRET SANTA CAMPAIGN. OUR BACK-TO-SCHOOL CAMPAIGN ENSURES SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN CAN START THE ACADEMIC YEAR OFF RIGHT. IN 2021, C4C WORKED WITH THE NATIONAL YOUTH ADVOCATE PROGRAM (NYAP) IN ATLANTA TO PROVIDE 100 CHILDREN BETWEEN THE 1ST AND 12TH GRADES WITH BACKPACKS FILLED WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES. ADDITIONALLY, C4C CONTINUED ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH EMBARK GEORGIA AND EMBARK@UGA TO SUPPORT YOUTH WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED FOSTER CARE AND/OR HOMELESSNESS ON THEIR JOURNEY TO POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION. IN 2021, OUR SUPPORT HELPED 15 STUDENTS AT SEVEN INSTITUTIONS ACROSS GEORGIA.
