Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
OCONEE YOUTH PLAYHOUSE HAD A RELATIVELY QUIET YEAR IN 2021. WE HAD PLANS TO DO BRING IT ON IN THE SUMMER BUT DIDN'T END UP DOING THE SHOW BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH HIGH SCHOOL GUYS AUDITION. IN DECEMBER WE WENT WITH FROZEN JR FOR TWO WEEKENDS WITH MORE OF A YOUNGER CAST (MOST WERE MIDDLE SCHOOL OR YOUNGER). FROZEN JR. WAS A HUGE HIT FOR OYP AS WE BASICALLY SOLD OUT (8) SHOWS WITH FOUR SHOWS EACH WEEKEND. THE CAST, OF APPROXIMATELY 100 KIDS IN THE COMMUNITY, THRILLED AUDIENCES WITH THE MAGIC OF FROZEN JR AND IT WAS OYP'S FIRST SHOW USING LIVE VIDEO/PHOTO BACKDROP PROJECTIONS. AN EXTRA BONUS -- BESIDES A TOP NOTCH MUSICAL -- WAS THE MEET AND GREET AFTER WITH ELSA, ANNA AND OLAF, A LIFE-SIZED PUPPET, OPERATED BY ACTOR EVAN HANNON.
IT WAS TOUGH YEAR FOR ALL THEATERS IN 2020 AND OYP WAS NO EXCEPTION. WE WERE IN THE MIDST OF A PRODUCTION OF SHREK JR WHEN THE PANDEMIC HIT, AND WE HAD TO CANCEL THE PRODUCTION. WE LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING BACK TO SHOWS IN 2021
