THE SAMARITAN COUNSELING CENTER OF ATLANTA DELIVERS EXCELLENCE IN CLINICAL COUNSELING, AS WELL AS SPIRITUALLY INTEGRATED CARE AS THE CLIENT CHOOSES, TO INDIVIDUALS OF ALL AGES AND TO UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS.

SCCA PROVIDES TRADITIONAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING THAT IS SPIRITUALLY INTEGRATED AS THE CLIENT DESIRES. WE OFFER DISCOUNTS FROM OUR STANDARD $150/SESSION FOR LOWER-INCOME CLIENTS. OUR DIVERSE TEAM OF ELEVEN CLINICIANS PROVIDED OVER 4500 CLINICAL HOURS OF THERAPY FOR 415 CLIENTS, 43% OF WHICH PAID THE MINIMUM FEE OF $30/SESSION. REVENUES WERE UP OVER 30% FROM 2020.
OUR NONCLINICAL SERVICES INCLUDE SPIRITUAL DIRECTION, PASTORAL COUNSELING, AND ENNEAGRAM CONSULTING. IN 2021, OUR FOUR NONCLINICAL STAFF MEMBERS WORKED WITH 15 INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDED 94 HOURS OF COUNSELING.
ONE OF OUR THERAPISTS WAS AVAILABLE ONE MORNING A WEEK TO COUNSEL PARENTS, PRIMARILY MOTHERS, AT ATLANTA CHILDREN'S SHELTER, A DAYCARE AND PRESCHOOL FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH BABIES AND CHILDREN UP TO KINDERGARTEN. THROUGH THIS WORK, SHE SUPPORTED THEIR EFFORTS TO GAIN EMPLOYMENT AND MOVE TOWARDS SELF-SUFFICIENCY. IN 2021, SHE WORKED WITH 16 INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDED 75 COUNSELING HOURS.
WOMEN'S TRANSFORMATION CENTER: DUE TO COVID AND THE UPCOMING RENOVATION OF THE SPACE, THE WTC CLOSED MID-YEAR AFTER EACH OF THE WOMEN RESIDENTS MOVED OUT AND THE ROOMS WERE NOT FILLED. IT IS SCHEDULED TO REOPEN IN 2023-2024 WITH NEWLY DESIGNED MICROAPARTMENTS AND A FULL KITCHEN.
