FIVE CORE SERVICES ARE OFFERED TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, THEIR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES IN METRO ATLANTA AND TWELVE SURROUNDING COUNTIES. THE CORE SERVICES ARE ARE: ADVOCACY, INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL,PEER COUNSELING. AND TRANSITION SERVICES. ADDITIONALLY MISCELLANEOUS COMMUNITY SERVICES ARE PROVIDED

U.S. DEPT. OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SVCS. CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING A & GA DHHS PROVIDED REFERRALS, TRAINING, INFORMATION, COUNSELING IN SURVIVAL AND OPPORTUNITY ISSUES, PROVIDED EDUCATION OF GENERAL PUBLIS CINCERNING HUMAN AND LEGAL RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WITH REGARD TO DISABILITIES. PROVIDE SELF ADVOCAY TRAINING, SHELTER REFFERALS, PROMOTED SELF IMPROVEMENT, AND INDEPENDENT LIVING AMONG DISABLED PERSONS THROUGH MUTUAL ASSISTANCE, RESPECT, UNDERSTANDING, ACHEIVMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY.


PROVIDED TRANSITION SERVICES FOR DISABLED PERSONS CONSISTING OF COUNSELING, EVALUATION, ASSISTANCE WITH INITIAL RENTAL PROCESS INCLUDING RENT ASSISTANCE AS WELL AS UTILITY SETUP, FURNITURE, HOUSEHOLD EXPENSES AND MOVING.


INDEPENDENT CARE WAIVER PROGRAM, JOB SKILLS TRAINING IDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES, JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES, VETERANS AND OTHER PEER SUPPORT SERVICES, ADDITIONAL TRANSITION SERVICES, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES, AND ADVOCACY. HOME MODIFICATIONS FOR INCREASED ACCESIBILITY
