REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH, INC IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION FORMED TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN RELIGIOUS AND OTHER LEADERS OF FAITH WHO WILL PURSUE POLICIES AND ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGIES FOR THE GOOD OF THE WHOLE AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT CONNECTIONS BETWEEN SHARED RELIGIOUS FAITH.

REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH SUPPORTED THE WEST VIRGINIA POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN (WV PPC) DURING A VIRTUAL PRESS CONFERENCE TO TALK ABOUT THE STATE'S RISING NUMBER OF DEATHS IN ITS REGIONAL JAILS. THE CAMPAIGN SHARED THAT THERE WERE 13 DEATHS IN THE SOUTHERN REGIONAL JAIL IN THE LAST YEAR, AND OVER 100 PEOPLE HAVE DIED IN THE WEST VIRGINIA JAILS IN THE PREVIOUS TEN YEARS.


THE ORGANIZATION HAS VARIOUS OTHER PROGRAMS INVOLVING THEOMUSICOLOGY AND CULTURAL ARTS, MORAL POLITICAL ORGANIZING LEADERSHIP, AND VARIOUS OTHER COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS THAT ASSIST IN BRINGING SOCIAL JUSTICE AND ISSUES TO THE FOREFRONT.


WE JOINED THE 58TH ANNIVERSARY OF BLOODY SUNDAY IN SELMA, AL, ALONGSIDE PRESIDENT BIDEN TO CONTINUE THE PUSH FOR THE PROTECTION OF VOTING RIGHTS. AHEAD OF BLOODY SUNDAY, WE SENT AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BIDEN AND CONGRESS WITH MORE THAN 1,700 SIGNATURES, TO DEMAND THE FULL RESTORATION OF THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT, LIVING WAGES, ACCESS TO ADEQUATE HEALTHCARE FOR ALL AMERICANS, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES THAT SUPPORT POOR AND LOW-WEALTH COMMUNITIES.


REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH ORGANIZED A MORAL MONDAY IN TENNESSEE (TN). OVER 1,000 FAITH AND IMPACTED LEADERS JOINED MORAL ADVOCATES FROM ACROSS THE NATION CAME TO CHALLENGE THE OVERREACH OF EXTREMISTS IN STATE LEGISLATURES DURING A TENNESSEE MORAL MONDAY IN NASHVILLE. A FUSION COALITION LED BY FAITH LEADERS CARRIED CASKETS TO THE STATE CAPITOL TO REMIND PEOPLE OF THE DEATH-DEALING POLICIES THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED AND TO DEMAND LIFESAVING LEGISLATION, LIKE GUN REFORM.
