THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE MULTI-AGENCY COOPERATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHILD VICTIMS AND NON OFFENDING FAMILIES. TO PROVIDE SUPPORT, REFERRALS, ADVOCATE FOR CHILD SENSITIVE INVESTIGATION AND SWIFT PROSECUTION OF OFFENDERS.

DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, THE PREVENTION PROGRAM PROVIDED PREVENTION EDUCATION TO THE RUSSELL COUNTY AND PHENIX CITY SCHOOL SYSTEMS. THESE SERVICES RESULTED IN APPROXIMATELY 7,500 STUDENTS, PROFESSIONALS AND/OR PARENTS BEING SERVICED IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE CHILD ADVOCACY PROGRAM CONDUCTED 100 FORENSIC INTERVIEWS. 10 EXTENDED FORENSIC INTERVIEWS WERE CONDUCTED AND 7 SEXUAL ASSAULT EXAMS WERE PERFORMED. OUR STARS PROGRAM IS AN INTENSIVE OUT-PATIENT THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM FOR YOUTH WITH SEXUAL BEHAVIOR ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN ADJUDICATED FOR SUCH. A LICENSED THERAPIST IS CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF ALABAMA IN PROVIDING TREATMENT TO YOUTH WITH THAT BEHAVIOR. THIS PROGRAM IS SUPERVISED BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY ARE A PART OF A 12 TO 18 MONTH PROGRAM.
