TO PROVIDE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATH TRAINING (S.T.E.M) TO STUDENTS IN SCHOOLS IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES: DECATUR, MILLER, CALHOUN, GRADY, BAKER, EARLY, SEMINOLE, MITCHELL AND THOMAS. SCHOOL SYSTEMS IN THESE COUNTIES PAY A MEMBERSHIP FEE FOR THE CENTER TO PROVIDE TRAINING THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. THE CENTER ALSO PARTICIPATES IN TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES DESIGNATED AS "STATEWIDE" BY THE GYSTC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AS WELL AS SOME REGIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS ARE PROVIDED TO STUDENTS AT VARIOUS TIMES DURING THE YEAR INCLUDING THE SUMMER BREAK. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE S.T.E.M. WORKSHOPS, FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHTS, CENTER FIELD TRIPS, SATURDAY SCIENCE PROGRAMS AND S.T.E.M. SUMMER CAMPS.

THE CENTER ACCOMPLISHES ITS EXEMPT PURPOSE THROUGH ADDITIONAL S.T.E.M. PROGRAMS WHICH SUPPLEMENT THOSE TAUGHT IN THE STUDENTS' CLASSROOMS. PROGRAMS ARE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL CLASSROOMS AS WELL AS AT THE CENTER PROPERTY WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE BAINBRIDGE CAMPUS OF ABRAHAM BALDWIN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE/SOUTHERN REGIONAL TECHNICAL COLLEGE. THE CENTER ACCOMPLISHES THE DELIVERY OF THESE PROGRAMS THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF THE CENTER'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR WHO IS ASSISTED BY CONTRACT LABOR WHEN REQUIRED. THE CENTER'S SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM AIDS THE STUDENTS WHO ATTEND BY KEEPING THEIR SKILLS SHARP DURING THE SCHOOL BREAK.
