THE UNITED WAY TAKES PRIDE IN BEING AN ACCOUNTABLE, EFFICIENT ANDTRANSPARENT COMMUNITY IMPACT ORGANIZATION. INVESTING IN THE UNITED WAY LEADS TO STRENGTHENING NEIGHBORHOODS, BOLSTERING THE HEALTH OF THE COMMUNITY AND CREATING LONG-TERM CHANGE IN THE LIVES OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS EVERY DAY. UNITED WAY OF RUTHERFORD AND CANNON COUNTIES HAS COMBINED THE SIX BOLD GOALS ADOPTED IN 2020 INTO OUR COMMUNITY IMPACT STRATEGY FOR THE 2022/2023 FISCAL YEAR. INVESTMENT GRANTS OF $39,000.00 HAVE BEEN MADE IN HEALTHY BEHAVIORS (NUTRITION & OBESITY), $270,020.00 OF GRANTS HAVE BEEN MADE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT, $278,000.00 INVESTED IN FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT, $434,380.00 INVESTED IN MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE ABUSE. OUR VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX PROGRAM RETURNED $2.3 MILLION DOLLARS BACK TO LOCAL CITIZENS INCLUDING TAX PREP SAVINGS, $1.8 MILLION WAS SAVED BY COMMUNITY INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE SINGLE CARE PRESCRIPTION DRUG PROGRAM.
