THE HEADSTART PROGRAM PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH, EDUCATIONAL, NUTRITIONAL, SOCIAL, AND OTHER SERVICES TO ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. APPROXIMATELY 1,337 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE SERVED BY THIS PROGRAM DURING THE PAST YEAR.
THE LOW-INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM "LIHEAP" ENABLES THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ELIGIBLE HOMEOWNERS TO HELP OFFSET THE RISING COST OF HOME ENERGY AND ENERGY CONSERVATION. APPROXIMATELY 4,854 FAMILIES RECEIVED THIS ASSISTANCE THIS PAST YEAR.
SHARE OFFERS SEVERAL PRIMARY PROGRAMS.
