SC ORGAN AND TISSUE DONOR REGISTRY: THE PURPOSE OF THIS FUND IS TO FACILITATE THE RECOVERY OF ANATOMICAL GIFTS FOR TRANSPLANTATION, THERAPY RESEARCH AND EDUCATION; TO ENSURE REGISTRY INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE TO ORGAN PROCUREMENT ORGANIZATIONS SEVEN DAYS A WEEK TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY AND TO COLLECT DATA TO DEVELOP AND EVALUATE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES PROMOTING ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION.
PATIENT ASSISTANCE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS FUND IS TO ASSIST SC TRANSPLANTATION RECIPIENTS WITH EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AS APPROVED WHEN FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. EXAMPLES ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1-ANTI REJECTION MEDICATIONS 2-DENTAL EXPENSES 3-MEDICAL SUPPLIES RELATED TO ORGAN AND TISSUE TRANSPLANTS
PUBLIC EDUCATION FUND: THE PURPOSE OF THIS FUND IS TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE FIRST PERSON CONSENT SC ORGAN AND TISSUE DONOR REGISTRY AND THE CRITICAL NEED FOR ORGAN AND TISSUE DONORS IN SOUTH CAROLINA AS WELL AS ACROSS THE NATION.
SC STUDENT EDUCATION PROGRAMS: THE PURPOSE OF THIS FUND IS TO OFFER GUIDANCE IN PREVENTION, LIFESTYLE, AND DONATION TO ALL STUDENTS IN SC FROM K-12 SO THAT THEY MAY GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING OF OPTIMAL HEALTH FOR THEIR LIVES, AS WELL AS THE DONATION PROCESS AND THE BENEFIT OF LIFE SAVING ORGAN, EYE, AND TISSUE DONATION FOR THOSE IN NEED OF TRANSPLANTATION.
