HHS,TIER 1: EXP (EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEEN MOTHERS):THIS GRANT AUTHORIZES FACT FORWARD TO WORK WITH SUB-AWARDEES IN AIKEN AND ANDERSON COUNTIES TO IMPLEMENT EVIDENCE-BASED INTERVENTION TO REDUCE RAPID REPEAT PREGNANCIES AMONG TEEN MOMS, INCREASE CONSISTENT CONTRACEPTIVE USE AND PROMOTE ECONOMIC STABILITY AMONG YOUNG MOTHERS.
HHS, TIER 2: POW (EMPOWERED SC):THIS GRANT AUTHORIZES FACT FORWARD TO WORK WITH YOUTH OF COLOR TO INCREASE ACCESS TO REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH CARE.
SCDHEC, PREP (PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY EDUCATION PROGRAM): THIS GRANT IS A PARTNERSHIP WITH SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL (SCDHEC) TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF YOUTH BETWEEN THE AGES 11 AND 19 THAT ACCESS AN EVIDENCE-BASED TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION PROGRAM, INCLUDING ADULT PREPARATION TOPICS, THROUGH THE DISTRIBUTION OF GRANTS TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES.
SC DSS GRANT PROGRAM: FACT FORWARD PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS IN PUBLIC, PRIVATE, SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY SETTINGS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THESE PROGRAMS FOCUS ON REPLICATION OF TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION BEST PRACTICES, INCLUDING IMPLEMENTATION OF EVIDENCE BASED PROGRAMS AND PARENT CHILD COMMUNICATION ACTIVITIES. IN EFFORTS TO INCREASE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, FACT FORWARD UTILIZED MULTIPLE COMMUNICATION PLATFORMS (SOCIAL MEDIA, DIGITAL, PRINT AND SUCCESS STORIES) IN ORDER TO MAXIMIZE IMPACT. RESEARCH AND EVALUATION ALSO HAS A VITAL ROLE IN THIS PROCESS WITH ENSURING TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION STRATEGIES ARE EVALUATED AND EMERGING TRENDS ARE RESEARCHED.
