THE SAVANNAH RIVER SITE (SRS) REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (SRSRA) IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE COUNTIES SURROUNDING SRS AND THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP IS DESIGNATED AS THE ORGANIZATION WHICH CARRIES OUT SRSRA PROGRAMS IN AIKEN, EDGEFIELD AND SALUDA COUNTIES, AND THUS RECEIVES FUNDING FROM SRSRA. WHILE NOT RESTRICTED TO TECHNOLOGY BASED PROGRAMS, MUCH OF THE PARTNERSHIP'S WORK IS INVOLVED IN BRINGING NEW TECHNOLOGY FROM THE SAVANNAH RIVER NATIONAL LABORATORY TO THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND CREATING A FOUNDATION FOR JOBS OF THE FUTURE.
ALLIANCE - EACH YEAR, THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE NOTIFIES EDP (AND OTHER REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS) OF AMOUNTS AVAILABLE TO THEM. IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE FULL AMOUNT AVAILABLE, EDP MUST MATCH THE AMOUNT IN PRIVATE CONTRIBUTIONS.
