THE UNCSA FOUNDATION, INC. COORDINATES THE FUNDING OF THE UNCSA'S PROGRAMS, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND GUEST ARTISTS. THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF THE ARTS (FURTHER REFERRED TO AS "UNCSA") IS DEDICATED ENTIRELY TO THE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF THE STUDENTS POSSESSING EXCEPTIONAL TALENTS IN PERFORMING, VISUAL AND MOVING IMAGE ARTS. UNCSA IS COMMITTED TO THE IDEA THAT ART COMBINES CRAFT, IMAGINATION, PASSION AND INTELLECT. SCHOLARSHIPS CAN BE AWARDED BASED ON TALENT, DEMONSTRATED NEED, OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH. UNCSA PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH THE INVALUABLE EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH MANY INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED ARTISTS WHO TEACH MASTER CLASSES, WORK ONE-ON-ONE WITH STUDENTS IN COACHING SESSIONS, AND TEACH CLASSES. UNCSA STRIVES TO IMPROVE THE CULTURE OF NORTH CAROLINA THROUGH COMMUNITY EMGAGEMENT TO FURTHER THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ARTS.
